How I Got Into Radio
If you read this, you probably won't believe it, so continue at your own risk of wasting time. At the tender age of 17, I was safely asleep at home, Mom & Dad just a few steps away. My black cat had assumed her usual position at the end of my bed. Sometime after midnight, though I can't recall just when, I was awakened by a bright light entering my room and a noise that was both piercing and calming at the same time. What happened next, and for how long it lasted, I will never know, but when I awoke the next morning I knew my life would be spent behind a microphone playing records (they were called records then). Some of my more adventurous friends and family think I was abducted, but don't you think that sounds ridiculous?
